Tomato "Oxheart Purple"
Tomato "Oxheart Purple" (Bull's Heart Purple).
Raspberry-purple giant! Sugary flesh and unique colour.
A productive mid-late variety (115-120 days), created specifically for greenhouses and film shelters. This is a true "salad king" for gourmets.
Characteristics:
Growth type: Indeterminate (unlimited growth). The plant is powerful and requires mandatory staking/tying.
Fruits: Large, meaty, weighing 210-280 g (the first fruits can be larger).
Shape and Colour: Classic heart-shaped (sometimes rounded), slightly ribbed. When ripe, it acquires a rare, rich raspberry-purple hue.
Variety value:
1. Taste: The flesh is dense but very juicy, with a "watermelon-like" texture, sweet.
2. Aesthetics: The unusual colour makes this tomato a decoration for any salad or vegetable platter.
Agrotechnics:
Sowing for seedlings: late February – early March. Prick out at the first true leaf stage.
Planting in greenhouse: late April – May (spacing 40x60 cm).
Important: The plant is vigorous; prune it to 1-2 stems and remove side shoots (suckers) to obtain large fruits.
Tomato seeds remain viable for up to 10 years (under optimal conditions). If the expiration date has passed, simply increase the sowing rate.
